Image
Inspiration: I found this paper Mache witch hat and thought of bringing all kinds of fun items in our stash to create this unique fun and spooky piece. I hope this inspires you to create something fun! 😊 Description : Halloween shapes were cut on our Glowforge laser cutter on chipboard from vector art created in Adobe Illustrator. These pieces were glued them along with a host of other Halloween inspired chipboards, ephemera, and other items. I coated everything in Black Heavy Gesso and wove the mini-LED lights throughout. I then added three-dimensional items including a miniature weathervane that I twisted and wrapped bones with wire onto it. Black Sand Texture Paste was then added all over the brim of the hat to pull the piece together. Then applied liquid acrylics and acrylic paint in hues of blues and purple to give it a gothic nighttime feel. Camp Stampaway 2023 Costume Contest Winners!

Image
Inspiration: Each year, the Stampaway conference in Cincinnati has a theme – for 2023, it was summer camp. My wife Nanci had this wonderful vision of creating a two-person canoe as a costume. Not just that, she wanted to create custom shirts and hats. The canoe would also feature fish hanging off the bottom and we would be wearing water-patterned leggings to give the illusion that you were seeing under the water. All the colors would match the Camp Stampaway logo. So much fun! 😊 Description : Shirts & Hats: We found brown T-shirts and matching baseball hats. We printed the Camp Stampaway logo on fabric transfers and adhered them to the front of the shirt with smaller logos on the sleeves and hats. We had our first names in orange type adhered to the backs of the shirts as well. Canoe, Storage, Straps, & Oars: Built the canoe frame out of PVC pipe with two cross braces to attach shoulder straps to and the end attached together. We then re-used shipping boxes to create t
