Illuminated Leviathan Deep Sea Adventure by Jason Duigou
Illuminated Leviathan Deep Sea Adventure
Jason's Inspiration: I found a wonderful 3D print on the Thingverse community site. Then my imagination kicked-in to take it to the next level incorporating 3D, mixed media, lighting, laser printing and modeling!
Description: After printing the 3D scuttle fish, I added extra elements to build a motor underneath, a copper exhaust tube, clear pebbles for the portal windows and lots of mixed media effects. In addition, I installed LED lights with colored velum in the portals to give the Leviathan more drama.
Rust and patina effects were added on the metal exterior. An environment was created using a sheet of plywood with notches cut to support sheets of acrylic cut and engraved on our Glowforge.
