Mixed Media Floral Folded Book Inspiration:  At a Pinner's Conference we created a floral folded book. I decided to take that and combine it with some super fun mixed media elements! 😊 . I hope this inspires you to create something fun! Description : I took the folded book folding art piece and added a textured background with Art Basics Soft Body Gel and a floral stencil. I then added lace and various Prima Marketing Redesign Mould pieces made from resin adhered with Heavy Body Gel. I then colored the covers using Art Alchemy Liquid Acrylics. Gold wax was used to highlight the three-dimensional elements. Paint splatter and threads were added to further decorate the book. Inspiration: My wife Nanci created this Chinese box from a kit many years ago built with Chinese rice paper, mulberry paper, and chipboard. I decided to upgrade it a bit 😊 .  I hope this inspires you to create something fun! Description : I took the Chinese Box and added a 3D printed dragon panel that I painted the background black, the raised dragon art red and highlighted the details with gold wax. After mounting the 3D piece on the lid, I added red rice paper pieces and Chinese-inspired medallions on the sides. The piece measures 6.25" x 3.5" x 2.5". Inspiration: I purchased a large plastic Easter egg on clearance last season and decided to create a magical adventure. I created a winding path from the bottom to the top where small vehicles climbed where I could imagine the giant egg being mined revealing gems and Easter eggs. I hope this inspires you to create something fun! Description : I covered a large plastic Easter egg in gesso, blocked it in colorful acrylic paint and applied Finnabair’s art alchemy Sparks paints. A winding path cut out of wood and supported by square wooden dowels. Green reindeer moss added along with various elements of Easter décor surrounding the base. I added miniatures, flowers, and small eggs all around. LED egg lights were woven through the bottom to illuminate the piece. Finally, the vehicles used for mining and moving the magical items found inside the large egg were put into place.  The piece measures 15" x 14" x 14". Description : For the Fall section, scrapbook paper and acrylic paint and model turf was applied to the area. Fall colored wood cutouts, gears, flowers, pearls, mechanicals, gears, ephemera and found objects were added to the section to fill the space with the rich colors of autumn. Finally, a wagon filled with pumpkins. Colorful wood cutouts, gears, flowers, mechanicals, gears, butterflies, ephemera and found objects were added to the section to fill the space with bursts of colorful elements.
