Image
Jason's Inspiration: The Collateral Rust "Route 66" paper collection by Ciao Bella inspired be to create a fun storage box with illuminated headlights! Description: I created this vintage storage box with "gasoline in its veins" and the spirit of travel at its heart. I "fussy cut" images to do a richly decorate collage. In addition, I popped images up by using multiple layers of images. I then installed a LED Light Kit by Evan Designs to illuminate the head lights of the multi-layered old truck on the lid. LED Lights are activated by a push button  I installed in the side of the lid. Dragon Eye Box by Jason Duigou

Image
Jason's Inspiration This Dragon Box project was inspired by Joe Rotella at GenCon in Indianapolis in August 2019. Description Using a craft store wooden box with hinges and a clasp, I used modeling compound to sculpt around a dragon eye and created a pattern for the "dragon scales" pattern. After thoroughly drying, acrylic paint was added in layers as well as details. I replaced the craft store hinges and clasp with some that I felt would look better with the piece and added claw feet. I created a "Dragon Map" inside the box and included a Dragon Amulet that I made out of an emblem and chain.
