Flying Steampunk Adventure Car by Jason Duigou
Jason's Inspiration:
I've always enjoyed the Disney movie Chitty Chitty Bang Bang with the fun flying car. When I had a chance to get a laser cut car kit designed and created by Jim Hankins, I do what I do best - put my imagination to work to take it to the next level of fun and adventure!
Description:
Exterior - I assembled the kit applying various patterned scrapbook paper. The balloons were created using clear Christmas ornaments and the "rope" is actually a thick gauge wire to keep the balloons aloft yet connected to the care.
Engine and Grill - I created the engine from chipboard, miniature crystals, ephemera and wire. I wired the headlights with miniature LED lights activated by a switch inside the front hood by the engine.
Interior - I added a miniature tool chest in the backseat as well as many details on the dashboard.
