Sea Treasure Chest by Jason Duigou

Jason's Inspiration:
I wanted to create a Treasure Chest project many of the nautical-themed moulds I'd recently purchased and to
showcase my love for mixed media and steampunk.

Description:
I added images created from casting Décor moulds from Re-design by Prima, Stamperia and Haley Sue Designs to create an underwater sea chest. Rope, cogs and metal flowers were also added and painted with crackle and texture paints to add to the craggy underwater feel of the overall design.

The piece was finished with the addition of Silver and Purple Metallique Waxes by Art Alchemy to bring out more of the subtle textures. The inside of the chest is also painted with shades of brown to simulate a worn weathered wood. The chest is hinged and closes with a latch on the front of the chest.
