Mechanical Maritime Adventure Box
Inspiration: I found a box at a garage sale with a nautical map pattern on it and added na utical and steampunk elements to the box including moulds, three-dimensional items, chipboard and mechanical elements. I was very excited at how it turned out. I hope this inspires you to create something fun! Description : I attached moulds, three-dimensional items, chipboard and mechanical gears and screw heads sealed with Finnabair Art Basics Heavy White Gesso a nd attached with Finnabair Art Basics Heavy Body Gel . I blocked it in colors with acrylic paint and added texture paste sand. I then added Red Rust, Yellow Rust, and Brown Rust Finnabair Art Extravagance Rust Effect Paste to give the elements a rusty look. Burnt Siena liquid acrylic was added to give depth to the piece. Gears, sprockets, and screw head embellishments were added to give contrast to the rusty base art. Finally, Finnabair Art Alchemy Metallique Ochre Wax was applied to give the piece some additional highlights. The
