Inspiration: A colleague of mine at work collects Christmas trees – specifically miniature cone-shaped trees. I decided to create a unique tree based on steampunk gears. I was very excited at how it turned out. I hope this inspires you to create something fun! Description : I created various gears in Adobe Illustrator and cut out chipboard and wood gears on our Glowforge Pro laser cutter. I adhered the chipboard gears of various sizes to the chipboard tree cone that I purchased at Michael’s. I then slid the wood steampunk gears down at various heights on the tree cone. The entire piece was sealed with heavy black gesso. I then brushed gold wax on and then silver over top to provide highlights. Miniature gears were added like ornaments. I used spray glitter on the entire tree and then wrapped it with tiny clear lights. Inspiration: As part of La-La Land Crafts Virtual Craft Retreat, an album was one of the projects. Since my wife and I were both making the same things with duplicate kits, I decided to change the theme to use some of my Stamperia Sir Vagabond Aviator papers and elements and a bit of steampunk flair. With some helpful suggestions from wife , I was very excited at how it turned out. I hope this inspires you to create something fun! This super cool Steampunk Flight Album measures 6.5" x 6" x 0.75" with a beautiful cover, sliding closure, 26 pages decorated throughout. The album includes two pockets, six tags, four double sided dividers, and so many spaces for all your photos and memorabilia items. Description : The album was designed by the talented team at La-La Land Crafts and I added a steampunk theme using Stamperia's Sir Vagabond papers, and chipboards along with stenciled pages, 3D stickers, gears, ribbon, photo mounts, and fun ephemera. The album was designed by the talented team at La-La Land Crafts and I added a steampunk theme using Sir Vagabond papers, cutouts and chipboards by Stamperia along with gears, 3D sticker, crackle texture, and photo mounts. Inspiration: My wife and I attended Stamp and Scrapbook Expo in Chicago where we made a mixed media paint brush…pink and white were the colors provided in the class. While it turned out nice, I wanted to re-work it and make it more my style. Thank you to my wonderful wife Nanci Wolter-Duigou for many helpful suggestions. I was very excited at how it turned out! Description : We found a wood frame at a garage sale and combined it with additional used brushes for more elements in the composition and to add depth. On the backside of the frame, I added black card stock embossed with gears and applied guilder’s wax and wax paste on it to pull out the highlights. I then stacked various mechanical elements, gears, and small thin brushes to give the background more dimension. Around the frame, I added two brushes and additional gears. The entire frame was coated in Clear Crackle Texture Paste to give it a lovely,
