Jason's Inspiration:  I wanted to create a mixed media piece that would be fun for a child to have in their room. I found the wooden birdhouse and modified it for the rocket and used the storage box for the robot piece. Description: This unique piece was created using an Art Minds wooden birdhouse and a wooden storage box. Texture was applied using Finnabair by Prima Soft Body Gel and stencils from Stencil Girl and Tim Holtz. Various acrylic paints were used for the yellow, red, purple, and blue colors. Various found objects, gears, wire, wood pieces and ephemera from Prima, Tim Holtz and others were used on both pieces.
