Illuminated Rusty Steampunk Clock by Jason Duigou
Jason's Inspiration: This clock was inspired by a class Finnabair taught. She encouraged our group to experiment with different artist mediums. Thank you to my wife Nanci for her help with painting the face details! Description: I used Finnabair's Altered Metal Frame Clock and covered it in black gesso, applied some rusty aging effects. We decorated the inside panel with gears and the women's head which is the focal point of the piece. We decorated the exterior of the clock with Metal Bloom flowers, gears and other ephemera. I chose to line the interior of the clock with a strand of battery operated lights to give the piece a warm glow and highlight the focal point.
